Cozy café with a wide selection. You can choose between different coffee specialties - also with different types of milk and cakes. Always delicious and an absolute must when you are in Bonn!
Beautiful café and good coffee. But man was the boss rude. It's not worth it man. You'll never feel comfy in this place. A friend who worked there told me he once screamed at a customer who was charging his laptop. I mean come on XD
For me, simply the best coffee dealer in Bonn and the surrounding area. You are always welcomed in a friendly manner and served very well. The atmosphere is inviting and very cozy. The breakfast, the cakes and all other dishes are top ?????????? The coffee is top notch and of the highest quality. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Go and treat yourself to the best cup of coffee in the region, or take your favorite type of coffee with you in whole beans or ground to take home. Highly recommended!
Delicious
Best coffee!
Very good coffee. Friendly service. Very nice ambience
Very pleasant and very good, just have a strong breakfast
I give 5 stars for the coffee, but the owner is really incredibly rude and that only makes the atmosphere toxic. If you read the reviews here, this impression is confirmed. Obviously he can't change his behavior a lot, so maybe he should stay in the background, then you will also feel comfortable in the café.
Extremely unfriendly manager. I had been in the café for about two hours (and had had several drinks during that time) when he walked in and suddenly approached my table. Without a word of greeting he snarled at me, asking if I couldn't read. I was completely unclear what it was about, and he refused to explain himself, just kept asking whether I had not read the slip at the cash register. I actually didn't have that, but I couldn't see the cash register at all from my seat. So I got up extra and went to the front with ranting, where an A4 note in very small but full-page font announced (among other things) that you weren't allowed to work with your laptop in the café on weekends. Aha. It was during the week, but what the heck. Because of the unfriendliness, I just went back to my seat, put my laptop away and left. Shame, the staff was actually nice. The banana bread is rather mediocre, the cappuccino mediocre. Using oat milk costs extra. Prices are okay, but not cheap. Overall, clearly not a recommendation. There are enough cafes in the area.
The place used to be my favourite place to go to. But the last few times I was there the service got astonishingly bad. Highly disappointed. No-go place for me anymore.
Very nice cake and coffee!
Unfortunately, I have to give a star so that I can give a rating, otherwise I would not have given a star. We had coffee and cake there today. The service was very friendly. After coffee, I went to O2 to do something and left my bike next to my table. When I got out again, my bike was gone. Other guests at the next table told me that Kurt's boss had taken my bike away. When I asked him about it, he became loudly choleric and very rude. I then had to look for my bike on the street. That's not how you treat your guests. I will never enter this shop again ... unfortunately not recommended ...
surprisingly average espresso: rather watery, no special note. Other than that, served strangely cold.
Delicious cappuccino, friendly service. The two of us sat outside and felt very comfortable.
Nice shop, chai tea top, nice service! How the boss deals with his employees is unfortunately a no go .. plus super arrogant. So I would rather avoid the shop.
Very good coffee and delicious breakfast! A little expensive, but a cozy atmosphere. On the whole everything fits. Unfortunately you can only pay in cash or with an EC card.
Excellent breakfast, tasty coffee and very attentive and nice staff. Keep it up ;-)
Bad service unfortunately do not recommend.
Cozy atmosphere, nice service, we responded to requests (I got a decaffeinated iced coffee), very tasty! Operating staff also wore mouthguards, there was disinfectant and the door was open for good ventilation!
Was drinking coffee a few days ago. The cappuccino tasted good, but I ordered a brownie for three euros. It was dry and tasted of old chocolate, as if it were a few days old. I would have complained too, but the owner seemed pretty intimidating and irritable. Too bad the coffee was good, but you can't sell such a cake, especially not for three euros! So my tip: drink yes, eat no.
Okay. There are definitely better cafes in Bonn, but it's not bad either. Coffee was delicious, but really expensive. The chocolate cake unfortunately a bit dry and hard. Inside it is very cozy, outside with a lot of traffic it is quite loud and rather uncomfortable.
Once Kurt always Kurt! Here you can find the best coffee in Bonn. Super relaxed atmosphere. The service is always friendly and attentive ?
Coffee tastes good, service is usually nice, unfortunately the boss does not contribute to the well-being of the customers due to its negative charisma - very bad, the café would have so much more potential!
The coffee was better in the past. Now it's not bad but it could be a lot better.
Very great place, good coffee and nice staff.
This was the first cute hipster-y café in this area, so it is of course a success, but it could do with some competition, prices are somewhat on the high end for what you get. The coffee is good, the brownies are great and the other cakes range from ok to really good (the cheesecake could be fluffier and have a better crust, for example, the carrot cake is really nice). The staff is friendly. It's a good place to meet and people - watch. Also, the free tap water in the fridge is really nice.
Unfriendly. What’s a café without functioning wifi? What’s a café where customers get kicked out for working?
Not 3rd wave
Used to have WiFi, now doesn't. Really, no WiFi?! Coffee isn't good enough to tolerate lack of WiFi. Ambience is meh, derivative, cliché. Service is mediocre at best, often worse.
Good espresso, especially when walking out the hotel across the street.
The coffee and breakfast are okay, but I expect a great coffee from a roastery. Breakfast could have used a bit more kick. Service is okay, but unfortunately it does not make you feel welcome. Therefore, is sound but not (yet) really great.
Great place for brunches
I had come twice before and had a basic black tea which was enjoyable with some friends. However, this time the sun was out and everyone was sitting outside and the inside was almost completely empty. I decided to do a little bit of school work at the cafe and immediately an older gentleman came to our table saying that we could not do work at the cafe. I was a bit shocked because it is literally next to the university and the inside was empty. Obviously, its fair enough if thats how the cafe wants to be run but the cafe is certainly excluding a large part of the student population. I also began reading some of the comments on tripadvisor and was appalled by the owners response to the critiques. I will certainly not go back and make sure my friends won't either.
Great coffee, tasty cakes and fast & friendly service... hope to visit again.
Unbelievably Rude Owner!!! Today January 16, 2019 I am sitting in Kurt Popelsdorf to work while my kids attend their second school. I take advantage to progress on my work and have a tea. at some point the owner of KURT comes in. As he minutes later walks out on the side walk I notice him looking at the adaptor of my mac pugged in at the wall. I thought "he maybe looking at it because it is old and there may be a security issue". But NO this is not it. 1 minute later he gets back in and comes to me. He asks me (I translate from German) "did you ask to use the outlet?". "No, why should I " I reply "it is not ok if you do not ask!!!" he says I still think he means the security and I ask "why is that?" he goes: "because I pay for the power NOT you! " This is the most rude behaviour I have come across in Bonn in 15 years I am leaving here. And I have been a customer ever since he started in Endenich!!!! SAD SAD SAD
Great
Excellent coffee and a warm atmosphere
Nice cozy place for coffee & breakfast. They have menu in English too. Would visit again.
My favorite coffee place in Bonn. The quality of the coffee is great, cakes are good and the people working there is very nice. I truly recommend it.
Great coffee. Wish they had oat milk or almond milk instead of soy, but still good; if only I could drink dairy!
Best coffee in Bonn. They also have a quite good choice of cake that changes often. The place is very nice and tastefully decorated. Very nice if you need a place to wok on your laptop for a couple of hours.
Probably the best coffee in Bonn and a great atmosphere
Great coffee, very cool, casual place with seating out on sidewalk as well, and the barista makes the coolest art in your coffee drink foam.
Best. Coffee. Ever.
One of the few specialty coffee places in Bonn, where you can get a good cup of filter coffee. Always worth a visit, especially in the summer, when you can sit outside
Am happy to see that Bonn is now having more good coffee places that take it seriously :) Calm atmosphere, average prices, friendly and quick staff and most importantly: the cappuccino is great :) It can have a slightly stronger taste, but that's basically complaining on a very high level. Great place!
Nice food, staff and coffee. Not cheap but also not expensive. Food presentation could be improved, though definitely a nice place for a tasty breakfast
Lovely food, reasonably priced. Quick and courteous service.
Great coffee and pancakes!
My favorite café in Bonn! wonderful climate, delicious coffee and cake and a friendly staff! I love to come back there :)
